Our sensory room

Our sensory room is a specifically designed space where pupils can explore and engage with a variety of sensory experiences. This calming environment provides a safe haven for students to relax, self-regulate, and develop their sensory skills.

We are proud to offer this resource as part of our commitment to supporting the diverse needs of our students.

Outdoor Spaces 

Here at PENS, we are fortunate to have a variety of outdoor spaces that enrich our students’ learning and play. From the playground to our sports field to our school garden, where the pupils help to grow seasonal vegetables while learning about the importance of healthy eating, our outdoor spaces cater to a wide range of activities and interests.

These areas provide students with the opportunity to explore nature, engage in physical activity, and enjoy the fresh sea air, all of which are essential for their well-being and development.

Next Generation EU School

Our school received a grant in 2021 to implement initiatives aimed at addressing the digital divide and support our learners at risk of educational disadvantage as a consequence, as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) a project under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU. This funding went towards updating our classrooms with new touch screen monitors.
